Investment Objective
To seek to generate long-term capital growth from an actively managed portfolio primarily of Equity and Equity Related Securities. Scheme shall invest in Indian equities,foreign equities and related instruments and debt securities.
Tax Treatment
Capital Gains Taxation:
- For investments made on or after 1 April 2023: The entire capital gain is added to the investor's income and is taxed based on the applicable income tax slab.
- For investments made before 1 April 2023:
- If sold within 2 years of investment: The capital gains are added to the investor's income and taxed according to the applicable tax slab.
- If sold after 2 years of investment: The capital gains are taxed at a flat rate of 12.5%.
- Holding the units: No tax is applicable as long as you hold the units.
Dividend Taxation:
Dividends are considered part of the investor’s income and are taxed according to their applicable tax slab. Additionally, if an investor’s dividend income exceeds INR 5,000 in a financial year, a 10% Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) is withheld by the fund house before distributing the dividend.
