About This AMC
Union Mutual Fund was established on December 30, 2009 as a Trust sponsored by Dai-ichi Life Holdings, Inc. and Union Bank of India. It was in March 2011 when Union Asset Management Company Private Limited, got a green signal from SEBI to commence its mutual fund business and operations as Union Mutual Fund.
Union Mutual Fund began as a collaboration with Belgium-based KBC Asset Management NV, initially known as Union KBC Mutual Fund. Union Bank of India held the majority stake, while KBC controlled 49%.
In 2016, Union Bank of India became the sole owner after purchasing KBC's shares. Subsequently, in 2017, Japanese financial giant Dai-ichi Life acquired a significant 39.62% stake in the AMC.
Currently, Mr. Madhukumar Nair is the Managing Director & CEO of Union Mutual Fund. Mr. Harshad Patwardhan is the CIO (Chief Investment Officer) of Union Mutual Fund.
