Guidelines for Mutual Fund Companies by SEBI, AMFI, and RBI
- The Chairman of an AMC cannot simultaneously hold the position of Trustee for any mutual fund.
- Key personnel in every AMC should not have a record of involvement or conviction for any fraudulent or offensive acts.
- An AMC is restricted from acting as a Trustee for a mutual fund.
- The net worth of an AMC must not be less than Rs. 10 crores.
- Before investing in any of its schemes, the company must disclose its intention in the offer documents.
- AMC is required to submit a quarterly report on activities and compliance with regulations to the trustees
