Kotak Mahindra Asset Management Company Limited (KMAMC) is a public limited company registered under the Companies Act, 1956 on August 2, 1994. It serves as the asset manager for Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund (KMMF) and operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited (KMBL).
Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, established in December 1998, holds the distinction of being the first AMC to introduce a dedicated gilt fund, focusing solely on Government securities.
Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund has been consistently among the largest mutual funds in terms of AUM (Assets Under Management).
Leading the way at Kotak AMC is Nilesh Shah, serving as the Managing Director. Harsha Upadhyay is the CIO (Chief Investment Officer) on the equity side and also manages Kotak Flexi Cap Fund, one of the largest mutual fund schemes in India (₹40,000+ crore)
