NAV

Net Asset Value

Net Asset Value (NAV) represents the performance of a mutual fund per unit.

The NAV per unit is calculated by taking the market value of a mutual fund scheme's securities and dividing it by the total number of units issued on a specific date. For instance, if a mutual fund scheme has a market value of ₹200 lakh and has issued 10 lakh units worth ₹10 each, then the NAV per unit of the fund is ₹20 (i.e., ₹200 lakh/10 lakh units).
